The girls at Natvia HQ contacted me and asked me to write a few pieces for them - not only was I super happy to do so but I thought i'd share with you what I created for their readers. It's always been a dream of mine to write for health companies and help spread health love throughout the community - I am absolutely stoked that it's transforming into a reality. Enjoy x
'Spring has sprung and here at Natvia HQ we couldn’t be happier. Read on to find out how to shift your body from wobbly winter woman to sexy summer siren.
Transforming your rig after winter is actually much, much easier than you think. Why? Because the weather literally beckons us to embrace the outdoors - the sun, the longer days, the friendly heat - which means weekends are no longer have to spent hiding from the rain/storms/cold. Incidental exercise, eg. walking to your favourite cafe, dancing on the balcony or even giving your apartment a vigorous clean for the entertaining season ahead - all helps your body move more. Result? The more energy you are burn, your metabolic rate raises and your body chews through stored fuel (aka fat stores), and your available energy (aka your green smoothie you had for breakfast).
Regardless of if you love or hate exercise, by incorporating it into daily life we become fitter - and importantly, it doesn’t matter if you have a mountain of work, family commitments or a pressing deadline (aka excuses for missing your 530pm spin session), you will maintain a relatively healthy level of cardiovascular activity. Committing to an hour of walking daily - which can be broken into 6 x 10 minute blocks, 2 x 30 minute blocks or whatever suits you - is something that help you reach that golden 10,000 step recommendation, which is needed to simply be and feel healthy. Couple that with physical activity that you actually do enjoy, and your mind and body may literally explode into health, in every sense of the word.
So please, allow the sunshine to draw you outside and enjoy the transition to your bikini body. It will happen without you even knowing it.
