I love green smoothies, naturally. But sometimes I want a little something to bite. I've seen loads of smoothie bowls around topped with nuts, granola, seeds - all good yes, but sometimes I feel like somehing a little more crisp. So voila, add some extra leaves and organic apple and it adds the texture I crave, while maintaining it's position as being the perfect post workout breakfast.
Spinach full of antioxidants clears out any impurities from your insides, as well as vitamin C which helps build collagen, avocado is high in oleic acid - a monounsaturated fat which helps keeps skin hydrated, almonds are packed with vitamin E which helps maintain elasticity, and finally, eggs / protein powder are an amazing source of protein (obvs) - needed to renew your skin cells.
1 ripe banana - frozen
big handful of baby spinach
2 eggs or 1 scoop protein powder
coconut water / almond milk to desired consistency
Blend in high speed blender.
Top with fresh leaves - spinach, kale, mixed.. whatever you like. Plus an organic apple. Enjoy!
